My little one

He is so funny sometimes, bouncing and jumping around in there. I have to massage him down and out of my ribs all the time because he just seems to love the right hand side of my stomach and he will squish himself so far over that it feels like he is trying to stuff his little body under my ribcage
Sometimes i just watch my stomach in amazement at how much he can move in that small confined space, and at how lopsided i can sometimes look when he decides its time to play in mommys ribs!.

A Few weeks ago i was reading in my baby book about how my baby can now open his eyes and they are sensitive to light, It suggested getting a flashlight and shining it on my stomach to see if my baby would respond, and well he didnt respond to the flashlight... But today while I was out enjoying the first sunshine in what feels like months and reading a book, He started kicking and wiggling so much it felt like he was doing to marathon! And he only did this after i moved my book from the propped up position on my stomach and the shadow from the book was no longer shading my stomach, It was so adorable i just sat and watched as my stomach jolted from side to side.

The other day I was sitting and listening to idle conversation when all of a sudden there was intense pressure on my ribs, I put my hand on my stomach and was about to massage him down when he pushed his little foot out so hard i felt the little tiny shape against my palm, it was almost like i was holding his little foot, Now i have seen pictures online where you see the little shape of a foot but i have never experienced anything like that before and it was so cute i just thought of how tiny he is because his foot only felt about as long as my thumb.

Pregnancy for me has been the most amazing thing! i know once he is born i will be so glad to hold him in my arms and coo to him, But i also know im an going to miss being pregnant because its just been so exciting and full of new things and i have loved it.

  1. Beautiful! I remember being amazed that I could see little feet moving around! I still miss that.
